The mortality rate of rabies is almost 100, can it be prevented?
Recently, the news reported that an 8-year-old boy in Guangxi developed suspected rabies symptoms such as fever and shaking limbs after being scratched by a dog. He eventually died due to ineffective rescue, which is heartbreaking.

Rabies is an acute infectious disease caused by rabies virus. The clinical manifestations are specific fear of wind, fear of water, progressive paralysis, pharyngeal muscle spasm and so on. The most frightening point is that once the patient has clinical symptoms, the mortality rate is almost 100 percent.
Dogs are the main source of rabies in my country, accounting for more than 95%, followed by cats and wild animals (such as foxes, wolves, bats, etc.). Birds, fish, insects, lizards, turtles and snakes do not spread the rabies virus.
If you are injured by suspicious animals (such as scratched or bitten by the above-mentioned animals that may transmit rabies, or the mucous membrane or wound contacts with the saliva of suspicious animals, etc.), you should go to the rabies exposure prevention and treatment clinic for treatment in time.
At present, rabies exposure is divided into grade III, and the corresponding post-exposure immune prevention and treatment methods are shown in the following table:

There are two procedures for post-exposure rabies vaccination:
- "2-1-1" procedure: generally, the biter will inject one dose (two doses in total) into the deltoid muscle of the left and right upper arms on day 0 (day 1, day 1), one dose on day 7 (day 8, analogy below), and one dose on day 21. a total of 4 doses will be injected during the whole immunization, with the same dosage for children.

2. "5-needle method" procedure: the first general bite person will be injected with one dose on day 0 (day 1, the same day), day 3 (day 4, and so on), day 7, day 14 and day 28, and a total of 5 doses will be injected during the whole immunization, with the same dosage for children.
Note: The "2-1-1" procedure is only applicable to rabies vaccine products that have been approved to use the "2-1-1" procedure in China.
The "2-1-1" procedure can produce antibodies in 7 days, which can reduce the workload of medical staff and reduce the economic burden of patients. It is a high-quality choice.
Chengda®With more than 0.1 billion people's experience in the world, its platform technology for large-scale vaccine preparation in bioreactors has overcome the technical problems of large-scale cell culture in China to prepare high-quality vaccines, filled the domestic gap in vaccine production technology, and led the development of the domestic human vaccine industry.
Two kinds of procedures, billion level guard. Chengda®No rabies cases were reported after the whole process of standardized treatment, which can provide reliable protection for patients.
