Rabies (Rabies) is an animal-borne infectious disease caused by rabies virus (Rabies virus) infection. As the first enterprise in China to use bioreactors to produce human rabies vaccine on a large scale, Chengda Biological Company has produced and supplied more than 0.4 billion doses of human rabies vaccine since its products were put on the market in 2005, accumulated a large amount of relevant literature data, and collected many case reports of injuries caused by confirmed mad dogs, as shown in the following table,

The injured animals in the above literature were confirmed to be rabies virus infection by laboratory, and the cases were treated by standard post-exposure treatment of rabies, including wound treatment, use of rabies immunoglobulin as needed, and full post-exposure vaccination of rabies vaccine. The post-exposure procedures used include the 5-needle method and the "2-1-1 procedure", which can quickly provide sufficient antibody protection, and 100 percent of all exposed people survive 1 year after vaccination, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of rabies.

Using the adult-human rabies vaccine, two vaccination procedures can be used after rabies exposure, both of which are safe and effective, providing more choices for vaccinators.
