Zheng Huizhen introduced that although the current overall epidemic level of Japanese encephalitis in Guangdong is low,After the weather becomes hot and mosquitoes increase from May to September, Guangdong will still usher in an annual peak of incidence, with some sporadic cases.

Wang Ming, a disease control expert in Guangzhou, said vaccination can effectively prevent Japanese encephalitis virus infection.In 2007, after the Japanese encephalitis vaccine was included in the national immunization program, children can be vaccinated with live attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine free of charge, or they can be vaccinated with inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine at their own expense. Since then, the incidence and death of Japanese encephalitis in my country have been controlled at a historically low level. He called on parents to still actively vaccinate their children against Japanese encephalitis.

Many adults in Guangdong who have not been vaccinated against Japanese encephalitis in childhood are likely to have been infected with Japanese encephalitis virus and produce antibodies. Now there is no need for supplementary vaccination,"But for adults who have just come to Guangdong from the east, west and north regions and have not been vaccinated against Japanese encephalitis, they may have been bitten by mosquitoes less before, and Japanese encephalitis is transmitted by mosquitoes. It is recommended to supplement the Japanese encephalitis vaccine."
